FOR IMMEDIATE PRESS RELEASE
In response to the growing unrest triggered by this year's Webcaster Settlement Act of 2009 expiration, Se7enth Fury Grammaton Records, along with sister label Onyx-Ætherion pledge full support to all internet radio stations in these uncertain times, as we are fully aware the Act's expiration is having a dramatic impact on the smallest (and medium) sized commercial webcasters.
This effectively killed the Live365 global network earlier this year, endangering nearly 100,000 small webcasters and internet radio stations who just can't afford the new 2016–2020 increased royalty commercial rate.
This, of course, severely damages the music industry, in our view, since many internet radio stations have or will close their doors and cease broadcasting. While some may argue that the new rates help labels and music artists because of increased revenue, we believe it seriously undermines music diversity on the net, cutting back on artist exposure.
As such, and in support of music as a whole, K-G Capital Holdings music labels are now offering small and medium sized internet radio stations, webcasters, microcasters, startup webcaster hobbyists, etc. our entire catalogues at zero royalty rates for 1 year, with further time negotiable terms.
This move greatly supports music diversity, helps internet radio stations and webcasters, and also greatly improves artist exposure. While this announcement will surely enrage some music label competitors, we hope other labels will soon follow and match our move.
Bold actions like these have helped make Se7enth Fury Grammaton Records the 25th greatest music label in the world.
We don't sit on music. We make it happen.
